SOBRE A CNI
The National Confederation of Industry – Brazil (CNI) is the voice of Brazilian industry. Its mission is to defend and represent the industrial segment by promoting a favorable environment for business, competition and the sustainable development of the country.
Its strategic vision is centered on a world class Brazilian industry with the capacity to produce quality and innovative goods, and on a commitment to development and social responsibility.
It was founded in 1938 and coordinates a system made up of federations of industry in 26 Brazilian states and the Federal District. These have more than 1,000 affiliated employer unions.
CNI acts in the areas of economic and industrial policies, labor relations, legislative actions, quality assurance, productivity, technology, environment, and infrastructure. On top of this, CNI represents the interests of Brazilian industries in any international negotiations where Brazil takes part, (WTO, MERCOSUR, MERCOSUR/European Union, Latin-American Integration Association - ALADI, etc.).
Furthermore, CNI strives to exert a positive influence on the formulation of Brazilian foreign trade policies in order to secure better conditions for fostering Brazilian industrial exports.
